It is hard to believe it is that time of year again. This year I was able to publish a little Christmas story titled, May and the Christmas tree.

I was hoping to have the Emperor and the hourglass completed by now, but I feel I need to go through it as it grown to 96 pages and it has turned into a more of a fantasy story mainly centred around the prince and not the emperor. That will be my job after Christmas to sort it out.

In the new year I am going to try my best to complete the unfinished side stories except the Jing and Yami as I think like the Master Guardian series, it has a long way to go before being completed.

I have been rethinking about my plans for Master Guardian Part Three, it is still going to be a trilogy, a little reminder the first one is still going to be centred around Gaylin and Halloween, book two will be covering Bonfire Night and the family gathering which happens to coincide with Christmas. The third book is going to be set in Akihabara, Tokyo. If you have read my blog Sidetracked which I posted back in August, you will have a rough idea why Guardian is back in Japan before spring

I was over the moon when one of my Jfans who lives in Tokyo told me the hidden shrine I have picked for the story, is once again hidden as one of the buildings had been knocked down in 2016 and google maps it yet to update. I need to ask her, if she lives close by that is, to take pictures of the new building.

Sometimes when I am writing a story set in Japan, I wish I could take a trip to see the places I have chosen, it would be great to be able to sand or sit in front of the shine whilst I write the scene.

I have been enjoying writing The Emperor and the hourglass, but all good stories must come to an end, and I do have one in mind, it’s just getting to that point is taking a little longer then I anticipated as I wanted to make sure there where no lose ends. Plus having a bad cold at the moment is not helping me to concentrate, I hope to get over it as soon as possible.

I must say it has been really great working with the Grey Dragon family, who will be making future appearances in up and coming stories, from the Master Guardian series to the all new Límíng wù series and the prequel to The Teardrop Stone.

I may even consider doing side stories based around them.
